We have a newly christened BSS system. The system 3 DSP's and a fleet of BIB BOBS connected by SM Fiber. We are experiencing a drop out as if the system is trying to cut over to the other side of the ring. Ironically this does not occur on all signals. If the signal is coming from a DSP controlled venue, it is usually solid. If it's coming from a BiB though the DSP back to its own BOB we hear it. In one venue the BIBs seem to work OK, the next one on the loop in either direction exhibits the issue.

Has anyone seen anything like this? We are getting ready to bypass each venues fiber to see if any one site is causing the issue.

On another note, changing the mastering in the DSP's changes the nature of the problem. When all were set at 128 even the DSP venue sourced items dropped out. Making one the master solved that at least. (no cobra net)

Hmmmmm.

for the DSPs at least, you should be able to open the "show default control panel" in the main window and see an error count. In one system with some blu link error, I made a custom control panel of all the blu link data from all the devices. I've had a couple problems in the past (not recently) where one unit, usually a Blu-100 had a bad blu link port which would cause drop outs. by not wiring as a ring, I could usually isolate it to either the blu link out of one device or the in of the next.
