|

Hi,
I’m having a problem with selecting Venue Presets from a switch connected to a control input of a BLU-100.
From Architect I can select the venue presets and the unit behaves perfectly. As soon as I connect the switch the problems start. The problems are;
• The status light is now orange and flashes
• Audio passing through the system cuts in and out
The only way to fix this is to remove the venue preset or venue preset folder from the control port in architect and reload the file to the BLU-100.
I may not have the switch set up properly, but I am wondering if there is anything else obvious that I am missing.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Daniel |

It appears that it was the switch that I was using. I ended up using a SPDT toggle swtich, (centre off, momentary on) and then assigned each of the two presets to their own control input. Everything works as expected now.
I haven't used the Soundweb before and I didn't realise that the switches had to be momentary, even though that's what the schematic suggests in the manual. I was originally using a latching SPDT switch. My fault entirely.

I have the same issue, but i'm using a Blu3 to do this. Anyone came across something similar?

| If you are recalling a different device configuration via the venue preset, then you must program the control ports in the other configurations as well. Also make sure you have the same number of presets as positions on the switch (5). |
